Why this Masterclass

Space communications are becoming a critical layer of national digital infrastructure. The rapid development of LEO satellite communications, direct-to-device connectivity, non-terrestrial networks, satellite IoT and 6G-integrated architectures is creating new opportunities to connect underserved areas and strengthen resilience — while introducing new regulatory, spectrum and sustainability challenges.

The joint ITU–Saudi Arabia Masterclass brings together regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders for a practical, interactive programme focused on the technical, regulatory and policy foundations of satellite communications and sustainable non-terrestrial networks.
